Nyrstar Hobart is a large-scale zinc smelter located on Hobart's River Derwent, only a few kilometres from the Tasmanian capital's charming and cosmopolitan city centre. This is a rare opportunity to work on site in the resources industry, in a capital city location.
About The Role
Reporting to the Business Systems Manager, you will be responsible for driving the governance and successful delivery of key project outcomes across the region.
We are seeking a motivated project manager who enjoys a focus on continuous improvement and the reward of delivering successful projects. Time management and a willingness to interact with stakeholders across the business is critical to your success in the role.
We are open to the successful candidate being located in Hobart, Port Pirie, or Adelaide. The role will require some travel between these locations.
Specifically, you will be responsible for:
Managing multiple IT projects of critical strategic importance to the business, adhering to the Nyrstar Project Management Methodology.Developing and maintaining thorough project management plans to ensure successful project delivery.Managing end-to-end delivery of the project to approved scope, schedule, cost, and quality targets.Tracking projects and providing regular reports on project status to key stakeholders.Working with business stakeholders and the global IT team to develop the roadmap and forward plan of projects, resourcing requirements, and budgets.To be successful in this role you will need demonstrated experience in the following:
Delivering large scale IT projects.Successfully managing multiple concurrent IT projects.Systems Delivery Lifecycle methodologies and proven experience in the configuration, testing, and deployment of applications and system integrations.Exceptional communication, engagement, and influencing skills.Time and meeting management.Project management tools, such as MS Project or Service Now, to an advanced capability level.Ideally, you will have qualifications/certifications in at least one project management methodology (Prince 2, PMBOK, Agile) and ITIL.
Occasional out-of-hours calls will be required due to the global nature of Nyrstar's business.
