Initial 18 Month Contract + 12 Month Extension Baseline Clearance Required Candidate can be located in any state across Australia Our Client, an established Federal Government Agency with office locations across Australia is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager. As a Project Manager, you will lead and oversee current IT projects from conception through implementation, ensuring that project objectives are met on time and within budget. This role requires strong project management skills, effective stakeholder engagement, exceptional communication abilities, and solid management acumen. This includes, but is not limited to requests for information, request for quotes and requirements gathering activities.Duties may include, but are not limited to, the following: Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedule, and resource allocation, to ensure successful project delivery; Identify, engage, and manage stakeholders across the Commission throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring their requirements and expectations are met. Build and maintain strong relationships with team members and internal and external stakeholders; Facilitate clear and effective communication among project team members, stakeholders, and senior management; Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimise impact on project timelines and outcomes; Prepare and manage project budgets, ensuring projects are delivered within financial constraints; Lead and motivate project teams, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback; Coordinate with external vendors and contractors, ensuring their deliverables are on time and within scope. Qualifications / Experience Requirements: A minimum 5 years of experience in an IT Leadership role; Experience in project administration, relationship management or a customer facing role; Highly developed understanding in both Waterfall and Agile methodologies, with demonstrated experience of applying these methodologies in project delivery; Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills; An eye for detail, including the ability to identify likely discrepancies, and gather, analyse and present information and data in a logical and concise manner; Strong written and verbal communication skills, including proven ability to produce quality briefs, reports and correspondence and to lead and facilitate meetings, workshops and presentations The ability, and the confidence, to make sound judgements and decisions based on thorough research, problem-solving, innovation, policy and evidence-based practice Strong leadership qualities, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
