Together we form a highly motivated, customer-focused workforce. Role Overview: We are seeking a motivated and skilled IT/ OT Network Engineer to join our team.
In this role, you will be responsible for supporting regional sites by configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining networking equipment.
You will work closely with technical subject matter experts (SMEs) to ensure the availability and reliability of client environments. Key Responsibilities: Travel to regional sites as required to install and support networking equipment. Configure and troubleshoot Cisco routers, switches, and wireless network systems. Administer wireless controllers and ensure optimal performance of wireless networks. Manage Hirschmann OT switches. Implement Industrial Ethernet (IE) switches. Utilize Modbus protocol. Understand OT Ring topologies, such as Resilient Ethernet Protocol (REP). Work with Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) – prioritized over ACI. Nice to have: ISA 100 Wireless standard knowledge. Understand and implement networking concepts including switching, routing, firewalling, and VPNs. Operate Palo Alto and Checkpoint firewalls and manage load balancer technology (e.g., F5). Collaborate effectively with technical SMEs and ensure successful project delivery. Travel Requirements: Metro Travel: Fortnightly for day trips to locations such as Kwinana and Pinjar. Country Travel: Every 8-12 weeks, requiring overnight stays via car or plane.
Trips may last 1-2 days, with longer trips (3-4 days) to Kalgoorlie. Possible travel to wind farms in deeper southern regions, including Albany and Bremer Bay. Key Skills and Qualifications: Current driver's license and the ability to travel to remote sites. 'A' Class license and own vehicle. Operational knowledge of Cisco routers and switches with the ability to configure and troubleshoot. Familiarity with firewalling, routing, VLANs, and VPNs is essential. In-depth understanding of Cisco networking, particularly wireless. Operational knowledge of OT networking, including managing Hirschmann OT switches and understanding of Modbus. Familiarity with ISA 100 wireless is a nice-to-have. Cisco Certification(s) preferred. Knowledge of Cisco ISE is more important than ACI, along with an understanding of Azure networking concerning ISE. Excellent analytical, technical, written, and verbal skills. Why Join Us?
