The Tasmanian State Service (TSS) is the largest employer in Tasmania, with over 28,000 employees providing services to the Tasmanian community at all levels, and within more than...As a member of the Department of Health (DoH) IT Service Centre, the IT Technician:Provides first point of contact support and resolution up to second level support to clients for IT Client Services including:PC hardware and software installation.Incident resolution.Follow-up to completion.Escalates issues through IT Support teams as required.The scope of work is defined by the operational priorities of the assigned business unit and the role works collaboratively within and across teams and with stakeholders to meet agreed priorities and branch service standards.Note: Please refer to the Statement of Duties for all the Selection Criteria of this position to address in your application.
Selection Criteria must be addressed.Our new team member should be able to demonstrate:Exceptional client focus.An agile approach to changing priorities.Reliability, honesty, and integrity.Position Features:Appointment to this role may require the occupant to rotate across various Health ICT units.From time to time, the role may require:Some regular out of hours work or on-call may be required to meet specific needs or deadlines.Travel between sites may be undertaken.LocationHobartDetails of AppointmentFull time, fixed term day worker position working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible for a period of twelve months.Hours for the IT Service Centre are 7:00am - 7:00pm/Monday - Friday. The ability to work a 7.6 hour day in any of the rostered groups is essential.Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time and part time vacancies.Salary:
$64,125 - $91,517 per annum + 11% superannuation on top of the advertised salary.Please note that access to salaries beyond $83,736 is subject to advanced assessment criteria approval.Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022Applicants should note the following criteria are desirable:A tertiary or recognised vocational qualification in a relevant disciplineRelevant IT industry experience and certificationCurrent Driver's LicenceThe Head of the State Service has determined that the person nominated for this job is to satisfy a pre-employment check before taking up the appointment, on promotion or transfer.
