Client base that provides ore processing and materials handling services to the mining industry across Western Australia. We take pride in innovation through designing, constructing, building, maintaining and operating our own crushing and screening plants for Tier 1 mining sites.
About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced IT Officer to support the users of Destec's technology platforms; including systems, databases, networks, desktops, cyber security and business continuity. Based in West Perth, this position is full-time and will report to the Director. Travel to our mine sites will also be required at times.
ResponsibilitiesProvide Level 1 and 2 desktop support for all users and maintain the IT equipment, systems, and network for the organisation.Provide users with remote help for ICT hardware and applications via phone or in-person at all Destec locations.Resolve user problems, queries, and complaints in an effective and timely manner, ensuring that they are kept updated on the current status of their problem/s.Log and keep current all 'Helpdesk' problems via a helpdesk Management System.Continuous creation, execution, and upkeep of IT operations policies, procedures, and processes.Diagnose and resolve technical hardware and Microsoft application issues.Manage and support the IT system, SharePoint Online, networks, FortiGate Firewall, cyber security, and ensure business continuity.Maintain accurate log entries of equipment faults and resolve them or organise for their resolution.Procure new equipment for ICT, maintain relationships with external suppliers, arrange for repairs and maintenance, and prepare and handle documents for purchases and disposal of equipment.Ensure all hardware/software installations and routine upgrades are implemented according to Service Level Agreements.Manage the onboarding and offboarding of all IT users.Establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external users.Provide support for meeting room equipment, including MS Teams.Identify opportunities to increase the effectiveness and operation of IT support and systems and implement where approved to do so.To be successful in this role you will need:Minimum 2 years' experience working in a helpdesk support role in a medium-sized organisation.Experience using Helpdesk ticketing systems to capture all IT-related tasks and issues.Experience providing support for MS Teams, Microsoft 365, Windows 10 and 11, and SharePoint.Experience with Windows Server is highly desirable.Ability to work both independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team is desirable.Excellent attention to detail.Ability to take initiative, be proactive, and self-directed.A current driver's license and the ability to travel to regional sites as required.A positive approach to the workplace.Destec can offer you:A collaborative and supportive team culture.A great West Perth work location.Access to career growth opportunities and training. #J-18808-Ljbffr
