The Role The department is looking to expand its domestic regional technical support team, assisting with priority ICT support for the department and their partner agencies.
Key Responsibilities In this role, you will be required to: Provide technical support domestically including travel, some international travel opportunities may be required.
Install and support the departments' IT, Network and Communications systems.
Review and maintain installation documentation of various ICT systems.
General technical work and advice.
Additional duties as required in relation to ICT technical installations and support.
Possess the ability to work under limited supervision individually or in a team environment.
Possess the ability to engage with a variety of stakeholders at all levels.
Demonstrate a strong willingness to learn, showcase sound lateral thinking to investigate and solve undocumented problems.
Create and update Standard Operating Procedures.
Key Skills To fulfil the responsibilities of the role, candidates will require formal qualifications or relevant industry experience in any of the following: Complex ICT Systems.
Desktop – capable of install/support of end-user compute software and hardware.
Printers – capable of installation and troubleshooting hardware and software.
UPS – understanding of Uninterruptible Power Supply function and installation/maintenance.
Physical Network and Server infrastructure – base understanding and operability of network and server devices and distribution cabling.
Logical Network – working knowledge of network routing and switching, including core concepts such as DHCP, subnetting, VLANs – or the ability to acquire.
