Our client, a leading provider of corporate trust, custodial, fund administration, and financial intermediary services, is seeking a hands-on IT Director to lead and oversee their technology operations. This is a unique opportunity for a strategic leader who is also comfortable stepping in on the tools when necessary. The role involves managing vendor relationships, driving IT strategy, and optimizing systems following a recent acquisition.
Key Responsibilities:
Vendor and Relationship Management: Oversee all IT operations by managing relationships with external vendors and service providers. Ensure that the company's technology infrastructure remains secure, efficient, and aligned with business objectives.
Hands-On Technical Work: Step in as needed to handle specific technical tasks, particularly those involving Power BI and SQL. This includes data analysis, reporting, and system management to support business needs.
Acquisition Integration: Conduct an AS-IS assessment of the recently acquired competitor's IT systems. Develop a strategy for integrating these systems, eliminating duplication, and defining a future state that supports the company's growth and operational efficiency.
Strategic Leadership: Lead the development and implementation of the IT strategy in alignment with the company's goals. Ensure that technology initiatives enhance business operations, regulatory compliance, and client services.
Digital Transformation: Drive digital transformation initiatives that support the development of practical, client-focused solutions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate advanced technology into business processes.
Risk Management: Identify and mitigate IT risks, ensuring business continuity and data security. Implement policies and practices to protect company assets and maintain compliance with relevant regulations.
Requirements Proven experience as an IT Director or in a similar senior IT leadership role, with a willingness to remain hands-on.Proficiency in Power BI and SQL, with the ability to apply these tools to optimize business processes.Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, systems management, and vendor relationships.Experience in conducting AS-IS assessments and developing integration strategies following acquisitions.Excellent leadership and team management skills, even in environments without an internal IT team.Ability to align technology strategies with business objectives in a highly regulated environment.Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels.We recognize that diverse perspectives fuel innovation.
