About the Role
As our IT / Developer, your primary focus will be advancing our ecommerce capabilities, particularly through Shopify development and system integrations.

You will lead the creation of custom solutions, optimise existing systems, and drive innovation across our technology platforms.

This role requires close collaboration with both internal teams and external partners to ensure that our systems are robust, secure, and continuously improving.

Additionally, you will support general IT operations, including infrastructure management and security, to maintain smooth day-to-day functionality.

Key Responsibilities
Shopify Development: Lead the development and optimization of our Shopify platform, including custom themes, apps, and integrations to enhance user experience and operational efficiency.
System Integrations: Develop and maintain integrations between Shopify, NetSuite, Inventory Planner, and other critical systems to ensure seamless data flow and automation.
Custom Solutions: Design and implement custom applications and tools to meet specific business needs, streamline workflows, and enable scalability.
Technical Leadership: Provide guidance and technical expertise to third-party development teams, ensuring high-quality code and adherence to best practices.
Continuous Improvement: Identify, prioritise, and implement improvements within the Shopify ecosystem and related systems to enhance performance and reduce errors.
Infrastructure & Security Support: Manage day-to-day support for end users, oversee cloud-based infrastructure, and ensure systems are secure by maintaining access control, applying patches, and optimising antivirus and security programs for a flexible, sometimes remote workforce.
Performance Assessment
Provide technical assistance with a customer-first approach for incoming queries related to computer systems, software, and hardware.
Manage a portfolio of cloud-based and on-premise support systems, including application implementation, patching, and end-user administration tasks.
Own and enforce access control and internal security practices across our technology platforms.
Troubleshoot and resolve common IT issues, such as password resets, hardware failures, and access requests.
Collaborate with cross-functional leaders on technology ideas, pending issues, and process improvements.
Serve as a facilitator between in-house teams/leaders and third-party developers, translating technical jargon into actionable tasks and holding vendors accountable for performance.
Maintain the IT roadmap, managing the queue and backlog of technology-related items.
Follow and implement security policies, document procedures, and manage enterprise applications in collaboration with finance, IT, and operations teams.
Coordinate application upgrades, respond to incidents, and provide front-line support for critical business systems in finance, operations, customer service, and merchandising.
Evaluate and manage third-party software solutions and maintain positive vendor relationships.
Monitor system performance and end-user usage, documenting formal policies and protocols.
Work with leaders across the organisation to solve business challenges, improve efficiency, and leverage technology to automate routine tasks.
Skills & Experience
Six (6) to eight (8) years of relevant IT/technology experience.
Two (2) to four (4) years of management or leadership experience.
Experience in a customer-first technical support environment.
Bachelor's degree in business or related field (or equivalent experience).
Strong experience managing hybrid Windows PC/MacOS environments, including network configuration and hardware troubleshooting.
Detailed knowledge of PC hardware, Apple Mac hardware, mobile devices, Microsoft Office 365, and Google GSuite platforms.
Excellent MS Office skills, especially Excel.
Strong interpersonal communication and negotiation skills.
Exceptional attention to detail, quality control, and organisational abilities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
