We've not only shaped what Australia looks like, but more importantly, how Australia homes.THE OPPORTUNITYJoin our dynamic team in this newly created role as an IT Cyber Security Engineer, dedicated to protecting our organisation's information systems and data from cyber threats. Reporting to the IT Operations Manager, you will assess security risks, develop robust security infrastructures, and respond to incidents to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our critical information. You'll collaborate with cross functional teams to identify vulnerabilities, design effective security solutions, and ensure regulatory compliance.Security Awareness: Promote a culture of security awareness through training programs for employees.Network Security: Design and implement secure network architectures and protocols.Technology Deployment: Manage security technologies like firewalls, IDS, antivirus software, and encryption solutions.Data Protection: Develop and enforce strategies to prevent data loss and protect sensitive information.Collaboration: Work with internal stakeholders to integrate security into the IT environment and maintain compliance.WHO YOU AREWe are looking for a candidate with:A tertiary qualification in IT or Cyber Security, with 3-5 years of relevant experience.Experience in detecting and responding to cybersecurity incidents.Expertise in working with external SOCs to manage and mitigate threats.Proficiency in SIEM and EDR tools, particularly Microsoft Sentinel and Defender.Strong understanding of network protocols, firewalls, and security controls.Experience with vulnerability scanning and prioritisation.Basic to intermediate knowledge of cloud security and identity management (e.g., Azure).Excellent communication skills to explain security issues to diverse stakeholders.Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to remain calm during incidents.A proactive and creative approach to problem-solving, with a willingness to learn new tools and techniques.WHY JOIN US?Aside from a fantastic opportunity to join one of Australia's leading ASX listed residential builders, Simonds can offer you:Great benefits across a wide range of products and services including a generous discount on our award-winning homes as well as all the great things that go in them.Access to our free employee well-being program, including counselling, nutritional, financial, and legal support for both you and your immediate family.Access to Simonds Reward Days - receive an extra day of leave per year.Opportunities for professional and personal growth through our Learning and Development programs on our inhouse Simonds Learning platform.Generous rewards and recognition.A commensurate remuneration package will be negotiated with the right candidate.If this sounds like your next opportunity, we'd love to hear from you as soon as possible!Please note: You must have unlimited Australian work rights to be considered for this role.Recruitment agencies, thanks for thinking of us but we've got this one covered.
