The Role Working from any TasTAFE campus across our beautiful state, the IT Consultant will deliver top-notch IT support, lead transformative digital projects, and ensure seamless tech operations that empower both staff and students to thrive in a connected, innovative learning environment.
Having the ability to prioritise and balance needs across a diverse portfolio and leading a small team to deliver exceptional customer experience will be your focus, while ensuring that their development and knowledge is always at front of mind.
This role is full-time (73.5 hours per fortnight) with flexible working options available.

On any given day, your duties will include: Manage IT support services, assets, vendors, and staff, while driving process improvements.Lead software development, infrastructure, cloud services, and network support projects.Investigate IT hardware and software issues, providing expert advice and problem resolution.Promote cybersecurity best practices and ensuring compliance with TasTAFE's policies.Train, mentor, and lead IT staff, while developing standards and documentation.What you will bring Strategic thinking with the proven ability to turn conceptual ideas into deliverable solutions.Strong leadership experience, with a keen focus on developing and growing your team.Excellent communication skills, with the ability to distil important technical information into digestible information for a range of stakeholders.Experience in the VET sector or post-year 10 educational environment desirable.A current Working with Vulnerable People registration is required, or the ability to obtain prior to commencement.
