An exciting opportunity to join our Enterprise Systems team. Deliver high level technical support, undertake a consultative role to business stakeholders, and provide leadership and coordination of technical activities.
Working in close partnership with various Department of Health (DoH) stakeholders, the IT Consultant (Enterprise Systems) will:
Deliver high level technical support to the design, development, installation, maintenance, upgrade and operational administration of the IT applications and associated integration infrastructure and systems architecture.Undertake a consultative role to business stakeholders by providing high level technical advice on application architecture, selection, commissioning, integration/interconnectivity and operational management and support.Provide leadership, management and coordination of technical activities required to develop, commission, interface, maintain and support IT applications, systems, and integration frameworks. The Role: Undertake software selection, commissioning, installation, development, testing, integration, ongoing maintenance, support, and consultancy to business owners, including the establishment of disaster recovery procedures, security schemes and any relevant quality assurance processes.Administer and support DoH applications as required, including advising on application architecture, planning, assisting, and undertaking upgrades, reporting, tracking, and resolving application and messaging/integration issues, testing disaster recovery plans, and monitoring and auditing application use.Provide second and third level specialist technical support to staff that use and support a range of applications.Develop, manage, and maintain relationships with software vendors of clinical and administrative applications supporting DoH operations.Lead work activities and prepare complex documentation, ensuring compliance with policies and standards. Position Features Some regular out of hours work may be requiredto meet specific needs or deadlinesIntrastate and interstate travel may be required Details of Appointment Please note two positions are being advertised:
2x Fixed term full time day worker positions, working 76hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible until 30 June 2026.
*notwithstanding hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time and part time vacancies. Salary:$104,756 - $118,730per annum. Our Employer 11% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022 Applicants should note the following criteria are desirable:
Appropriate tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline from a recognised tertiary institution
Minimum of three years' practical experience in a relevant discipline, using contemporary and recognised frameworks
Appropriate technical certification in a relevant specialist discipline
