Council has opportunities for enthusiastic, motivated people to join the Transport Infrastructure Team in Cudal and Orange as Road Maintenance Officers.
The primary purpose of this role is to contribute as a member of a team providing a broad range of road maintenance and construction activities, including machinery operation and drainage works, while ensuring cost efficient delivery of service, a safe working environment for all and adherence to the required standards.

This fulltime position operates over a 38-hour week with a 9-day fortnight, with opportunity for overtime.
Detailed Responsibilities Undertaking road construction and maintenance activities.Undertaking traffic control duties.Undertaking manual works.Conducting roadside maintenance.Undertaking site specific inductions and actively participating in toolbox meetings.Accurately completing all relevant records including timesheets, prestart checklist, risk assessments and other legislative related paperwork.Undertaking light plant maintenance and operation on designated items of plant within operator's capabilities and certification.Undertaking work outside of normal hours and overtime as required to progress or complete assigned tasks including emergency repair works.What Do You Need to Be Successful?
