Trainer/Assessor – Aviation Transport Security Due to contract growth the ISS Aviation Security team has a new opportunity for an experienced and qualified RTO Trainer to be based in Perth, Melbourne or Brisbane.
This role is employed on a Full-Time permanent basis.Reporting to the RTO Manager, the role will take ownership for the training and delivery of the Certificate II in Transport Security Protection as part of a national RTO team.
It also has key requirements to assist with contribution to course redevelopment and reviews as part of the RTO delivery.The primary purpose of the role is to provide aviation security training on behalf of the ISS Training RTO for the delivery of the Certificate II in Transport Security Protection, Certificate III in Security Operations and other required courses such as the Certificate III in Aviation (Ground Operations and Services).We are open to suitably qualified candidates who may want to work in a hybrid model with work from home and office in one of the cities listed above and attend the airport work site and office location on a regular basis as required.About the roleThe responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to: To provide managed training delivery and assessment in aviation security for passenger screening and cargo and deliver other RTO courses required across Australia.To facilitate webinars with students where required and provide advice and guidance to enrolled and prospective students.Follow up all enrolled students to ensure progression is made through the training programs.Liaise with recruitment and RTO administration to ensure all new staff are enrolled in a timely manner and results are updated for the students upon completion.Assist with delivery at airport locations where required and travel to interstate locations to assist with cargo and passenger screening training or annual reviews (at present WA, VIC and QLD).To assist to plan and organise Professional Development and Continuous improvement activities.To participate in all RTO validation and compliance activities connected to training and student satisfaction.To review course content where required and provide structured feedback to the course owner in terms of required improvements and suggested changes.

Career development via our internal Learning Management System Minimum Criteria: TAE40116 - Certificate IV in Training and Assessment – or an equivalent level of qualificationsAVI20118 - Certificate II in Transport Security Protection or equivalent experience that can be used to obtain or deliver this qualificationAbility to obtain an ASIC or be the current holder of an ASIC - Aviation Security ID CardDetailed experience in training delivery within the aviation security industry and within RTO's3-5 years plus of aviation security screening industry experience (with up to date practical knowledge of all required security equipment such as x-ray, walk through metal detectors, explosive trace detectors and body scanning equipment)Effective written and verbal communication skills who can own the room and instill confidence and knowledge to our students within the aviation security industryStrong Customer Service ethic & skillsEffective time management and organisational skills with the demonstrated ability to multitask and meet training deadlinesAdvanced Microsoft Office application skills, including MS Word, Excel and PowerPointAbility to facilitate webinars with students in a clear and confident mannerAvailability to work flexible hours and outside regular operational hours of 8:30am – 5pm when required Desirable Criteria: Certificate II or III in Security Operations.Certificate III in Aviation (Ground Operations and Service)Experience in using online LMS platforms such as Cloud Assess.The successful applicant should be willing to travel occasionally interstate for training delivery across the client sites we service across Australia.Defence experience desirable
