We are seeking an experienced Contract Administrator to support our project managers and engineers in administering subcontracts and supplier agreements across multiple projects. This office-based role is critical in ensuring all procurement and contractual processes are completed accurately, efficiently, and in alignment with project budgets.
Position Overview
As a Contract Administrator, you will manage the administration of subcontracts and supplier agreements, ensuring compliance with company policies and project requirements. You will oversee the accurate raising of purchase orders, monitor claims and invoices, and confirm with project managers the status of works before processing payments. A key responsibility is ensuring that no suppliers or subcontractors commence onsite activities without completed agreements and documentation.
Key Responsibilities Administer subcontracts and supplier agreements for multiple projects, ensuring compliance with project budgets and timelines.Ensure purchase orders are raised accurately and align with approved budgets.Verify that all subcontractor and supplier agreements are in place before work commences onsite.Manage and align invoices and claims with project budgets, ensuring accuracy and compliance.Collaborate with project managers to confirm the status of claims and works completed before processing payments.Monitor project budgets and ensure procurement aligns with financial controls.Maintain clear and accurate records of procurement activities, purchase orders, claims, and invoices.Proactively resolve contractual or procurement issues in collaboration with project teams.Ensure compliance with the Security of Payments Act (SOPA) in processing payment claims and resolving related issues.Qualifications Proven experience in contract administration or procurement within the construction industry.Strong understanding of subcontractor and supplier management, including contract negotiation and compliance.Comprehensive knowledge of the Security of Payments Act (SOPA) and experience processing claims under the Act.Proficiency in procurement and financial management software; experience with Premier software is required.Relevant qualifications in Accounting, Contracts Administration, or a related field.Advanced proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and Outlook) is critical.Demonstrated procurement experience with a focus on cost control, budget alignment, and compliance.Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with project teams and external stakeholders.Knowledge of construction processes and materials is advantageous.How to Apply
