We are currently seeking an experienced Civil Operations Manager with a background in contract for services and specialised experience in civil construction within the mining resources space.
This is a unique opportunity for an experienced leader to join a dynamic team and play a key role in managing large-scale civil projects.
Key Responsibilities: Leadership: Direct and align project and operational goals with company-wide objectives to drive growth and success. Operational Management: Oversee project execution, optimizing resources, ensuring on-time and within-budget delivery, and maintaining high-quality standards within the civil team. Team Management: Lead and mentor a high-performing team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and professional growth. Financial Oversight: Manage budgets, monitor financial performance, and ensure effective cost control across all projects. Commercial Leadership: Act as the contractor's representative and ensure all issues are dealt with in a timely manner. Client Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring satisfaction and contributing to long-term business growth. Continuous Improvement: Drive initiatives to improve processes, enhance operational efficiency, and keep the company at the forefront of industry trends. Experience & Qualifications: Minimum of 4 years' experience in a senior leadership role within the civil construction industry, preferably with experience working with Tier 1 mining companies. Relevant industry qualifications such as a degree in civil engineering or project management. Proven expertise in operations management, project management, resource planning, financial oversight, and commercial acumen. Strong team building, mentoring, and leadership abilities. Experience in business development and developing strong client relationships. A strategic thinker with the ability to execute hands-on, focusing on operational excellence and continuous improvement.
