This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced IP Administration Officer to join our highly successful New Filings Team in Brisbane, Melbourne, or Sydney.
The New Filings Team is responsible for the preparation and lodgment of Patent and Design applications with the Australian Patent Office, the Australian Design Office, and the Intellectual Property Office of New Zealand.
This is a permanent full-time position, and we are open to flexible working options.
As our IP Administration Officer, you will: File and report Australian and New Zealand Patent and Design applications within required time frames.Prepare, produce, and distribute filing receipts.Prepare and file amendments to the application, including amendments of the specification, correction to inventorship, applicant address, or applicant name.Cooperate with the Credit Supervisor to ensure that debt collection policies are met.Liaise with internal and external clients regarding queries.Open new Australian and New Zealand Patent and Design records.Maintain internal databases.Prepare estimates to file Australian and New Zealand Patent and Design applications.Prepare and request examination for Australian and New Zealand Patent and Design applications.Prepare and report invoices.The successful candidate must have: A positive, energetic, flexible, and hard-working attitude;Two to three years' experience in an administration/similar role within the IP Industry;Ability to work well under pressure;Intermediate to advanced MS Word and Outlook;Proficiency in using databases (experience in Inprotech will be a desirable attribute and will be considered favourably);High attention to detail;Fluent written and spoken English.What's in it for you?
