POSITION OVERVIEW
The Investment Analyst plays a crucial role in guiding the company and advising the Investment Committee toward sound investment decisions and maximizing returns. Reporting to the Investment Director, the role involves a range of activities in investments, asset management, fund management, portfolio management, assisting with capital raising efforts, and other ad hoc tasks that support the organization's objectives. The Investment Analyst is responsible for developing and interpreting financial models, conducting thorough due diligence and market research, performing valuation analysis, and preparing investment documentation, presentations, and reports. These analyses and reports are essential for informing key decision-makers within the business of new investment opportunities and the status of current investments.

RESPONSIBILITIES Market Research: Analyze macroeconomic and market trends to identify potential investment opportunities and risks.Financial Modeling: Develop detailed financial models projecting the potential value, returns, and risks of investment opportunities, incorporating scenario and sensitivity analyses.Due Diligence: Conduct comprehensive investigations into the financial, legal, and operational aspects of potential investments.Financial Statement Analysis: Interpret financial statements to assess the financial health of potential investment targets.Risk Assessment: Evaluate and quantify risks associated with investment projects.Portfolio Analysis and Reporting: Assess the performance and risk exposure of the investment portfolio and provide regular reports to the Investment Committee.Performance Monitoring: Track and analyze the performance of existing investments against predefined benchmarks.Investment Strategy Development: Formulate investment strategies aligned with company goals and risk tolerance.Sector and Competitor Analysis: Evaluate specific industry sectors and the competitive landscape to identify investment potential and associated risks.Legal, Tax, and Regulatory Compliance: Ensure investment decisions comply with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.Stakeholder Communication: Communicate investment strategies and results to internal and external stakeholders.Investment Committee Support: Coordinate information and participate in investment committee meetings and the decision-making process.Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Analysis: Evaluate sustainability and ethical considerations for potential investments.Negotiation Support: Provide analysis and recommendations during investment negotiations.Investment Documentation: Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation for all investment activities.Investment Policy Development: Contribute to the development and maintenance of company investment policies.
