Our client, a well-capitalised and growing private equity firm, is currently hiring an Investment Manager into their Sydney team.
The firm makes later stage minority growth investments into mid-market business across ANZ, with a particular focus on the technology sector.
The Investment Manager will play a central role in identifying, evaluating, and executing growth equity investments.
Working closely with senior leadership, you will be responsible for managing deal processes from origination to execution, as well as contributing to portfolio company growth strategies post-investment.Key Responsibilities:Deal Sourcing & Origination:
Support the identification of high-potential investment opportunities by building and maintaining relationships with entrepreneurs, intermediaries, and other deal sources.Investment Analysis:
Conduct detailed financial modelling, market research, and due diligence to assess potential investments and their long-term growth potential.Execution:
Lead the structuring and negotiation of investment terms, including financial modelling, valuation analysis, and preparation of investment memorandums.Portfolio Management:
Work closely with portfolio companies to develop and execute value creation strategies, including operational improvements, market expansion, and strategic partnerships.Reporting & Collaboration:
Regularly interact with internal teams, presenting findings, analyses, and investment recommendations to senior management.Qualifications:Experience:
Minimum of 5 years in private equity, investment banking, corporate development, or a related field, ideally with a focus on growth equity or venture capital.Analytical Skills:
Strong financial acumen with proven experience in financial modelling, valuation, and investment analysis.Deal-Making Expertise:
Demonstrated ability to manage investment processes, including sourcing, structuring, and executing transactions.Communication:
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders across all levels.Entrepreneurial Mindset:
A proactive, self-starter mentality with the ability to work in a dynamic and confidential environment.Sector Knowledge:
