Your role Are you a highly skilled and motivated Investment Banking Associate with 2-5 years of relevant experience? We are currently looking for an Associate to play a key role in supporting senior bankers in the origination and execution of a variety of complex transactions, including mergers and acquisitions (M&A), leveraged buyouts, equity and debt financings, and strategic advisory engagements. This role offers a unique opportunity to work closely with our clients to help them achieve strategic and financial objectives. Typical duties will include:
Build and maintain financial models. Conduct comprehensive financial statement analysis and valuations using various methodologies. Act as a key point of contact for clients, handling day-to-day communications, providing transaction updates, and addressing any client inquiries. Build and maintain strong, trust-based client relationships. Assist with the due diligence processes, which involve reviewing financial statements, analysing market and industry data, and coordinating workstreams with external advisors. Mentor and guide junior team members, to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality work. Your expertise 3-4 years of experience in investment banking, corporate development, private equity or a related field. Advanced financial modelling skills and proficiency in PowerPoint. Experience with financial databases and tools such as Bloomberg, IRESS and FactSet. Strong understanding of valuation techniques and financial statement analysis. High level of commercial acumen and ability to apply general corporate finance principles to companies at various life stages. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to effectively articulate complex financial concepts and transaction details to clients, stakeholders and other members of the team. Meticulous attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in all work. Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise effectively, and meet tight deadlines. Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative mindset. Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage relationships with clients, colleagues, and external parties.
