Investment Associate -Private Equity

A prominent Australian Private Equity fund manager is looking to hire an Investment Associate as they looks to deploy their second fund.
The firm has an outstanding track record providing growth equity in mid-market deals, investing in businesses across the technology and consumer industries.
The Investment Associate will play a key role in all aspects of the investment process, including deal sourcing, due diligence, financial analysis, and portfolio management.
The ideal candidate will have a top tier Management Consulting, Private Equity, or Investment Banking background and have demonstrated experience in either financial or commercial due diligence.
Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive industry research and analysis to identify attractive investment opportunities.
Assist in sourcing and evaluating potential investment targets through proactive outreach, networking, and market analysis.
Perform detailed financial modelling to support investment decisions.
Prepare investment memos, presentations, and other materials for internal review and investment committee presentations.
Collaborate with senior team members to conduct thorough due diligence on prospective investments, including market analysis, competitive positioning, and risk assessment.
Support portfolio company management teams with strategic initiatives, operational improvements, and performance tracking.
Monitor and analyse financial performance, industry trends, and macroeconomic factors affecting portfolio companies and industries.
Manage relationships with external stakeholders, including investment bankers, advisors, and industry experts.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field
2-5 years of experience in investment banking, management consulting, private equity, or related field; prior experience in financial analysis and modelling required.
Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with proficiency in financial modelling and valuation techniques.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and effectively.
Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Demonstrated passion for investing, with a keen interest in learning and staying abreast of industry trends and market developments.
High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.
