The Opportunity
Reporting directly to the Director of Research & Portfolio Management, you'll be instrumental in the research, recommendation and monitoring of both listed and unlisted funds, ensuring our clients' portfolios are optimised for success. This role offers the unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping and maintaining the investments on our Approved Product List (APL), crucial for our wealth management services.
Key Responsibilities Monitor and report on existing listed and unlisted managed funds on the approved product list.Assist with the search for new listed and unlisted managed funds and make recommendations for selection.Undertake asset class and market research and analysis that supports manager research initiatives.Communicate findings to internal stakeholders, including development of client-facing and external content.Provide analysis support for the Research and Portfolio Solutions team.About You
You're a detail-oriented professional with a genuine passion for investment and research. With your strong commercial acumen and collaborative spirit, you're ready to deliver impactful solutions to our internal stakeholders and clients.
What we're looking for: A minimum of 2 years' experience in managed funds research. Direct investing experience is a plus but not essential.A degree in finance, economics or a related discipline. Postgraduate studies or CFA participation would be highly regarded.A deep understanding of manager strategies across various asset classes, with an analytical mindset and strong quantitative skills.Familiarity with wealth management and financial planning concepts, as well as the compliance and legislative framework governing financial services.Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with key internal and external stakeholders.You should also be: Highly accurate with a keen attention to detail.Agile and flexible, willing to adapt as needed.A self-starter capable of prioritising tasks and managing expectations.Culture & Benefits
