The Role
This diverse and hands-on role involves managing investment accounting for IFM products and investments, as directed by senior management.
The role requires coordinating settlement instructions with custodians, handling trade settlements and corporate actions for various IFM Investor Funds and Mandates, and ensuring all specified information is prepared for unit holders.
This includes prices, statements, and ad hoc requirements.
The position also involves maintaining the Security Master for listed and unlisted assets, managing unit registry and distributions, and assisting with the take-on and transition of additional investment accounting functions.
Key responsibilities include: Preparing timely and accurate Net Asset Values (NAV) and Unit Prices.Recording transactions in fund accounting systems.Performing cash and position reconciliations.Preparing and reviewing information for investors.Preparing financial statements and reconciliations.Assisting with statutory and tax reporting, including compliance and payments.Supporting the Investment Accounting and Operations team in various initiatives, including trade and transaction settlements, and reconciliations. Your Background and Experience 5 years of experience in accounting, particularly investment accounting.Must have a tertiary qualification in law, commerce, economics, finance, or a related field.Must have CA/CPA qualifications (or be working towards them).May have post-graduate qualifications.Detailed understanding of IFM's investment processes and market knowledge.Strong client relationship management and business acumen.High-level numerical skills and significant financial knowledge, including basic understanding of taxation laws and regulations relevant to IFM Investors.
