In this role, you will provide expert guidance and leadership to operations and compliance teams, ensuring thorough investigations and effective enforcement across Groundwater & Rivers and regulated irrigation districts.
You will be responsible for confidently navigating complex cases, managing difficult conversations, and delivering reasoned assessments of challenging cases.
In this role, you will play a crucial role in strengthening our internal compliance capability, ensuring best practices are consistently upheld in all compliance and enforcement activities.
This role will involve working across diverse locations covering the following East Regions:
East – Covering the area from Bunyip River, Latrobe and South Gippsland basins to the NSW border, taking in centres such as Dromana, Ringwood, Thorpdale, Koo Wee Rup, Leongatha, Morwell, Maffra and Bairnsdale.As the Investigator – Water Resources, some of your responsibilities will include:
Interpreting and applying relevant sections of the Water Act 1989 and other legislation to achieve SRW's compliance objectives.Contributing to the development and implementation of policies and strategies that promote best practices in compliance, licensing, and regulatory matters.Conducting comprehensive investigations that encourage long term compliance.Offering advice and education to promote adherence to water legislation among customers, the community, and other stakeholders.If you are seeking a rewarding opportunity to join a dedicated team and drive excellence in uplifting enforcement practices, we would love to hear from you!
About you The successful candidate for this position will be able to demonstrate some of the desired experience and abilities below:
Cert IV Government Investigation or equivalent qualifications.Extensive experience in investigations, compliance, and enforcement, with a strong understanding of government, legislative, regulatory, and licensing frameworks.Proven ability to lead and coordinate investigation to drive results in a complex compliance environment.Strong analytical and decision making skills, with the ability to develop robust solutions to complex challenges.How to Apply Applications should be made online by clicking 'Apply' before midnight Sunday 10 November 2024 or by visiting our website: www.srw.com.au
