This is an exciting role for a criminal investigator that wants to contribute to the success of the EPA as it enters a new era of environmental protection in this role you will:Lead and support the delivery of set organisational priorities, achieving the highest standards of performance, accountability, collaboration, ethics, and integrity; undertake and oversight project/program planning and reporting, and manage allocated budget and resources in accordance with organisational requirements.Actively contribute to the development of a positive and high performing team culture, including by identifying and implementing opportunities to improve teamwork directed by the Lead Investigator, deliver proactive, intelligence led investigations in the region, using innovative techniques to target high risk offenders to systematically identify and stop environmental harm related to pollution and waste; and bring those that break environmental laws to account.Collaborate with regional operations teams, Legal Branch, Data Analytics and Intelligence Unit and other parts of EPA in delivering EPA's strategic regulatory priorities; and in ensuring that the conduct of investigations and the prosecution of cases ensures the optimal use of EPA resources, is aligned to strategic priorities and is in the public interest.Skills and experience:A relevant tertiary degree or qualifications in investigations, law or a related discipline is desirable.Experience in conduct of criminal investigations.Knowledge of contemporary techniques for the conduct of proactive and reactive investigations.Management skills and demonstrated capability to plan, monitor and deliver projects /programs consistent with organisational priorities, including risk identification and management, budget development and management; optimise the allocation and use of resources; and evaluate project / program see the full position description: PD How to applyClick the "Apply" button to submit your application and cover letter addressing the key selection criteria.
