We are a purpose-led member organisation striving to create greater value for our members and deliver on our purpose to be "The driving force for a better WA."A rare opportunity has become available within our well-established Technical Claims Unit (TCU) team for a Full Time Investigator.Reporting to the Team Leader, Senior Investigations, you will be responsible for conducting objective, thorough, unbiased and timely investigations into allegations of insurance fraud, policy breaches and internal matters.Working within a supportive team environment, you will manage a case load of investigations that can involve travelling to various sites across the state.
A company car is provided, and overnight stays will be required on occasion.What's the role?Ensuring effective prevention and detection of insurance fraud through the assurance of fraud indicator flags.Managing and prioritising a large and varied case load of insurance fraud investigations effectively and efficiently to achieve positive results.Coaching and educating RAC Insurance employees on how to identify potentially fraudulent claims.Validate that identified insurance fraud indicators are applied effectively to enable an efficient proof of burden caseload strike rate.Establishing and maintaining relationships with law enforcement, other external agencies and internal and external stakeholders.Supporting the senior investigator when planning TCU team professional development and learning objective setting.What are we looking for?Demonstrated experience in law enforcement, insurance investigative unit or a similar field is highly desirable.Substantial experience in conducting investigations with sound knowledge of relevant law, legal processes and evidentiary requirements.Proven interviewing and interrogation skills along with the ability to develop detailed investigation reports.High levels of integrity and ethical confidentiality.Ingenuity and persistence to obtain case information not readily available with an eye for detail.Able to work independently with minimum supervision with strong decision-making attributes.Strong customer service focus with the ability to handle difficult conversations.Good organisational skills in managing seasonal volume of assigned investigation cases.Reliable hands-on experience with relevant information systems with competent ability to navigate through relevant IT systems.Proficient with insurance industry procedures, regulations and cognitive investigation methods is advantageous.What can we offer you?A workplace culture where our people feel valued, respected and empowered.Work in flexible ways that meet work/life commitments and support wellbeing.Be part of a purpose led organisation that gives back to the WA community.An environment that values ongoing career development.Free Roadside Assistance and discounts on RAC products and services including Insurance, Holiday Parks and Resorts, Security, Finance and Auto Services.Opportunities for community engagement and corporate volunteering.We are looking for an enthusiastic professional who will thrive in a culture of continuous improvement.
