Salary: $79,563 - $94,415 pa + super (up to 12%) + leave loading
The appointed wage level will be dependent upon the successful candidate's level of experience, skills and qualifications.
Work Schedule: 9 day fortnight, 72.5 hour fortnight

As an Investigations Officer you will: Personally manage and undertake comprehensive investigations and initiate compliance actions to resolve a variety of legislative breaches in relation to dog attacks, regulated dog compliance, illegal waste dumping and significant alteration of public land offences.Provide expert customer service, education & engage & communicate with a variety of stakeholders.Provide high quality reports & briefs of evidence as well as representing the Council before the Magistrates Court & the QCAT Tribunals as required.We are seeking candidates with experience in undertaking investigations that have required significant application, interpretation and enforcement of legislation (Local Laws and State Legislation).
You will be a strong and customer-focused communicator, well versed in representing in a professional and courteous manner, which incorporates our values and delivers service outcomes that meet the needs of a diverse range of audiences.
You will have effective time management skills and decision-making abilities to be able to work within timeframes and deadlines and within a regulatory team environment.
Whilst it is not essential you are experienced within local government; you will hold a Certificate IV in Government (Investigations or Regulatory Services) or similar discipline and have strong verbal and written skills required to prepare and represent Council at legal proceedings.
