Excellent opportunity for an experienced Inventory Team Leader with an FMCG business - Hobart or Sydney based. Your new company Specialising in a high quality product within the food manufacturing industry, our client prides themselves on innovation and customer service, providing an exceptional product to market. Your new role Reporting to the Inventory Manager, as Inventory Team Leader, you will play a crucial role in managing inventory processes, ensuring accurate stock levels and optimising supply chain efficiency. You'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including sales, procurement, logistics, and production, to maintain seamless operations. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include: Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels, track inventory movements, and maintain accurate records Demand Forecasting: Collaborate with demand planning teams to forecast product requirements and ensure optimal stock availability Stock Reconciliation: Conduct regular stock counts, investigate and reconcile discrepancies Order Fulfilment: Coordinate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure timely delivery to support production and timely order fulfilment Risk Mitigation: Identify potential stock shortages or excesses, proactively address issues, and minimise supply chain risks Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and enhance inventory control processes to improve efficiency and accuracy Team Leadership: Lead a team of 3-4 staff across the inventory teams in Hobart and Sydney. What you'll need to succeed With previous experience in a team leadership role and inventory management within the manufacturing industry, you are knowledgeable with LEAN manufacturing and have a strong understanding of FMCG. You have excellent attention to detail and analytical skills, and are proficient with ERP systems. A strong communicator, you have exceptional negotiation skills and a positive attitude.
