About the opportunity: Reporting to the National Planning Manager, this opportunity will see you owning national inventory management and leading annual stock take activities. Based in our corporate head office in Auburn, this distinct opportunity will challenge and excite you, bringing to life your broad experience and propel you into the next phase of your career.
As the Inventory Specialist your responsibilities will include: Inventory Management: You'll quickly build trust with internal stakeholders and understand the GVR business. Using your expertise, you'll drive operational improvements across our national stocking network, which includes 100+ vans, 5 branches, a national warehouse, and a production facility. You'll ensure accurate inventory tracking, reduce stock on hand, and manage the RMA process. Additionally, you'll optimize van stock profiles, aiming for >97% inventory accuracy. Leading National Stocktake: Passionate about inventory accuracy, you'll conduct root cause analysis for variances, working with Finance, Field Operations, and external auditors to ensure compliance and reporting. Freight Management: You'll manage domestic carriers, improving utilization and visibility. Using data analysis, you'll optimize freight spending and collaborate with a 4PL provider to identify cost-saving opportunities. Who you are & what you'll need: You excel in inventory management and enjoy working in a high-performing team. You're confident with data interpretation and use Excel at an intermediate level. Experience leading national stocktakes and working with freight carriers is preferred.
