We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Inventory Controller to join our precast manufacturing team.
In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the inventory of both finished goods and raw materials.
You will ensure accurate inventory levels, timely reporting, and effective organization of storage areas to support efficient production and dispatch operations.
This position is critical in maintaining smooth workflows, reducing downtime, and ensuring accurate data capture for decision-making.
Key Responsibilities: Inventory Management: Manage and maintain accurate inventory records for finished goods and raw materials.Perform regular stock counts, reconciliations, and audits to verify inventory levels.Coordinate with production and procurement teams to ensure timely stock replenishment.Implement processes to monitor and track stock usage, returns, and movements within the facility.Data Capture & Reporting: Record inventory transactions in the company's system in real-time, ensuring data accuracy.Provide regular reports on stock levels, usage trends, and any discrepancies to management.Analyze inventory data to forecast needs and assist with procurement planning.Collaborate with the finance and operations team to ensure alignment on stock and reporting.Storage Organization & Maintenance: Set up and maintain well-organized storage areas for both finished goods and raw materials.Develop and implement inventory labeling, categorization, and storage strategies to maximize space efficiency and accessibility.Monitor the condition of stored goods and materials, ensuring proper handling and minimizing damage or waste.Maintain safety and housekeeping standards within storage areas, ensuring compliance with company policies.Identify opportunities to streamline and improve inventory control processes.Work closely with production, dispatch, and procurement teams to ensure seamless coordination of stock handling.Qualifications & Skills: Experience in inventory control or warehouse management, ideally within a manufacturing environment.Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data recording and reporting.Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks.Forklift license (preferred but not mandatory).Understanding of health and safety regulations within a manufacturing setting.Work Environment & Physical Requirements: Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Ability to lift and move inventory as required (within safe handling limits).Comfortable working in both office and warehouse environments.
