In this role, you will play a critical part in optimising the financial performance of the business' supply chain while ensuring accurate reporting and compliance with regulations.
The position requires a blend of accounting expertise, financial analysis skills, and an understanding of supply chain operations.

What you'll be doing
Support the delivery of monthly reporting for Kmart Group, analyse cost variance and support financial planning.
Monitoring inventory valuation and reconcile inventory accounts.
Cost allocation and analysis, allocate costs across supply chain activities, perform product costing and support pricing decisions.
Compliance and regulatory reporting, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, manage regulatory requirements and support audits.
Foreign currency management, monitor currency fluctuations, hedging and assist in multinational financial consolidation and payments.
Cross-functional collaboration working with across supply chain teams and coordinate with finance teams across regions.
Continuous improvement, process enhancement and automate reporting processes to enhance data accuracy and availability.
Identifying risks and opportunities for the business in a timely manner to enable mitigation of identified risks.
To be successful in this role you'll have
Ideally a minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar capacity, either working in a corporate environment or within an accounting firm.
Strong Accounting and Financial Skills, a solid understanding of accounting principles, experience with financial analysis and proficiency in budgeting and forecasting.
Knowledge of supply chain and logistics operations.
Technical proficiency - experience using Financial Systems (i.e.
SAP) and strong excel skills.
Analytical and problem-solving abilities, strong analytical skills, ability to troubleshoot financial issues and a proactively approach to problem solving.
Attention to detail, accurate financial reporting, and thorough data analysis.
Effective communication skills, the ability to present financial information clearly, strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with stakeholders, multi-regional finance colleagues and external parties.
Agility and adaptability, a willingness to adapt to changing priorities and ability to navigate ambiguity.
A self-driven fast learning approach to proactively take initiative, quickly masters new skills, and adapt to changing environments independently.
Tertiary qualifications in commerce or business, with accounting or finance majors.
Hold a CA or CPA qualification or be nearing completion.
