ABOUT THE OFFICE The International Office drives progress against strategic objectives to increase international student enrolments, partnerships and student mobility. The Office collaborates with Faculties and Schools with a focus on expanding international onshore recruitment, student mobility and development of new and existing priority international partnerships that encompass agent networks and student mobility.
ABOUT THE ROLE The role of the International Recruitment Coordinator is to support business relationships with the Universities educational agents and partners to promote the University to prospective students to build the full fee-paying international student load. The position works closely with the International Admissions Officer(s) ensuring that documentation collected from students and agents is in-line with university policies and as per the requirements for the Department of Home Affairs (DHA) to obtain Student Visas. Reporting to the Manager International Recruitment & Admissions, this role provides assistance in implementing the strategies and tactics to achieve enrolment targets as per the University Enrolment Plan.
Key Responsibilities Deliver support to the line manager by providing advice to support and contributeto operational planning. Support the agent network to recruit and diversify international student numbers across the Fremantle and Sydney Campus Identify opportunities and contribute to these activities by undertaking project work by managing deadlines and monitoring project resources. Assist with research on complex matters and prepare recommendations, reports, guidelines, briefings, discussion and strategy papers. Represent the University at events, exhibitions and recruitment fairs as well as at other industry and government events related to international education, both in Australia and overseas. Initiate and foster professional relationships and networks within the University community and with external stakeholders, professional and community organisations and clients and work closely with the faculties in providing feedback on new products and enhancement of existing programs to attract international students. Assist with market and competitor analysis to identify and develop opportunities for the effective recruitment of high-calibre international students and the establishment of international student pathways. Monitor and maintain compliance with university policies, ESOS regulations and Department of Home Affairs (DHA) requirements. About You Qualifications & Experience Possession of a degree in Business or Marketing with four years relevant experience or equivalent combination of relevant experience and education/training. Demonstrated experience in Higher Education, including experience working with international students and agents for the purposes of international student recruitment. Knowledge of International Admissions, foreign qualification frameworks and understanding of Student Visa requirements and Genuine Temporary Entrants. Knowledge, skills & abilities Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including demonstrated ability to assist with information for the delivery of papers, reports and proposals for all levels of the University. High level communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to develop effective networks to and work with diverse people across all levels in respectful and culturally appropriate manner. Excellent operational and project management skills including the ability to analyse issues and problems, develop feasible solutions, and support multiple concurrent projects from initiation through to completion. Strong computer skills including demonstrated experience using Microsoft Office applications, in particular spreadsheets, project management tools and presentation software. Demonstrated knowledge of contemporary issues in the higher education sector including the ESOS framework, including the ability to engage others, build partnerships and facilitate effective working relationships that produce results. Excellent time management and organisational skills with a demonstrated ability to respond to changing priorities, meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks.
