Demonstrated ability to manage a Homestay Student Program. Demonstrated understanding of the requirements of overseas students studying in Australia under the Overseas Student Program. Demonstrated capacity to undertake professional learning to achieve the best practice for school operations particularly in relation to the International Student program and overseas enrolment procedures. Role The successful candidate will work under the guidance of the International Student Coordinator (ISC):
International Homestay Coordinator
Homestay Program: Provide effective administration of the Homestay Program's day-to-day operations. Recruit and orientate all Homestay families; systematic monitoring; inspection, visiting and evaluation of Homestay and accommodation facilities. Maintain the database of past, current and potential Homestay and accommodation facilities. Develop and implement strategies to improve the Homestay accommodation program. Process and review student applications for homestay placements. Recruit appropriate host families who provide a comfortable and welcoming environment for students. Consult with the International Student Coordinator (ISC) and/or the ISC Assistant Principal to determine student placements. Assist in planning and organizing orientation meetings for families and international students. Organize and participate in medical appointments with homestay students. International Student Administration Support
Enrolment processes and Orientation Assistance Assist with new enrolment interviews and communication between parents, students, and ISC. Assist newly arrived students in completing forms and introduction to college life. Assist newly arrived students in obtaining uniform, textbooks. Organize airport pick-up and prepare relevant documents. Maintain Student Documentation Establish and maintain international student records. Maintain databases and records, ensuring compliance with International Education Division (DEECD) quality Assurance Framework. Ensure all VISIT requirements are completed in a timely manner. Communication Assistance with student welfare and academic management Assist international coordinator to communicate/interpret with parents as requested. Communicate with parents regarding student progress, attendance, academic achievement, and wellbeing. Assist ISC with orientation program for new students. Develop and promote relationships with parents, homestay providers, and students. Attend parent-teacher interviews. Wellbeing and academic assistance Assist with daily roll calls, monitoring and recording of international student attendance. Attend student doctor's appointments. Provide a copy of school reports to agents and parents and debrief as required. Responsibilities Sourcing homestay placements. Implement, manage, and monitor Homestay arrangements. Manage student homestay fee payment. Ensure compliance with the Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students (CRICOS). Respond to Homestay, parents, and student phone calls during emergency duty.
