This position is comprised of two roles.
International Homestay Coordinator Homestay Program: · The Homestay Coordinator will provide effective administration of the Homestay Program's day to-day, operations.
· Recruiting and orientating of all Homestay families; systematic monitoring; inspection, visiting and evaluation of Homestay and accommodation facilities.
· Maintains the database of past, current and potential Homestay and accommodation facilities, reviewing, recording and updating of all International Student homestay/accommodation addresses.
· Developing and implementing strategies to develop the homes stay accommodation program.
· Processes and reviews student applications for homestay placements
· Recruits appropriate host families who provide a comfortable and welcoming environment for students and who live within a reasonable distance of our schools.
· Processes and reviews host family home to determine suitability and appropriateness as according to International Education Division (IED) policy.
· Consults with the International Student Coordinator (ISC) and/or the ISC Assistant Principal to determine student placements.
· Assists in planning and organizing orientation meetings for families and international students.
· Organise and participate in medical appointment with homestay students.
International Student Administration Suport. Enrolment processes and Orientation Assistance · Assist with new enrolment interview and communication between parents, students and ISC.
· Assist newly arrived students in completion of forms, and introduction to college life.
· Assist newly arrived students in obtaining uniform, textbooks.
· Organise with airport pick-up and prepare the relevant documents.
 Maintain Student Documentation · Establish and maintain international student records.
· Establish and maintain international student files.
· Maintain databases and records, ensuring compliance with International Education Division (DEECD) quality Assurance Framework.
· Ensure all VISIT requirements are completed in a timely manner.
Communication Assistance with student welfare and academic management. · Assist international coordinator to communicate/interpret with parents as requested.
· Communicate with parents regarding student progress, attendance, academic achievement, and wellbeing.
· Assist ISC with orientation program for new students.
· Develop and promote relationships with parents, homestay providers and students.
· Attending parents and teacher interview
· Translate or interpret teachers, email and teachers, conversation, pass on the reports, emails and the invoice to parents and students.
· Support ISC with the student induction process.
Wellbeing and academic assistance · Assist with daily rollcalls, monitoring and recording of international student attendance and follow-up with phone calls/correspondence to parents/relations/Homestay providers as required.
· Attend student doctor's appointment.
· Provide a copy of school reports to agents and parents and debrief as required.
· Assist ISC in developing in-house activities and celebrations.
Responsibilities · Implement, manage, and monitor Homestay arrangements including inspection of
Homestays (via visiting) and maintain documentation.
· Manage student homestay fee payment.
· Ensure that all student record keeping, and database requirements are compliant and completed in a timely manner, liaising with other key staff with enrolment responsibilities.
· Induction of Homestay families
· Compliance with the Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students (CRICOS)
· Ensure that the International College develops, manages, and maintains its operations in a manner that meets the CRICOS accreditation requirements, including monitoring and evaluating all aspects of the CRICOS program requirements.
· After school and holiday emergency duty (in the absence of the ISC)
o Respond to Homestay, parents, and student phone call.
o Attend/ assist students with emergency treatment.
o Report and contact the ISC and/or the Assistant Principal (AP) (or a member of the Principal Class if the AP is not available.)
