Job Definition: The Technical Support Specialist will provide information technology support to all BDI employees while working on projects to ensure that end user, business, and shareholder needs are met.
Standard working hours will be 9:00am to 6:00pm Eastern Time. This is a hybrid position requiring at least two days a week in the office, after the initial training period.
Responsibilities: Provide phone, email, and chat support on various information technology areas, including PC's, peripherals, mobile devices, Microsoft technologies (AD, O365), phone systems, network, LAN and WAN applications. Execute various technology projects, such as software and hardware upgrades and new technology roll out. Maintain a log on all support calls and perform various reports on those logs. On call responsibilities for emergencies outside normal working hours when occasionally required. This responsibility rotates among the support team. Work cooperatively and effectively with team members, co-workers, and IT suppliers. Responsible for all other duties as they are assigned. Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Minimum 3 years' experience in technical support or related field. Strong communication skills and a customer service focus. Superior analytical and reasoning skills. Ability to work outside normal working hours when occasionally required. *BDI reserves the right to change job duties at any time.
