Internal Review Officer

Public Sector People have partnered with a council in the western suburbs and would like to offer you the opportunity to join the Legal, Governance and Risk Team as an Internal Review Officer.This is an administrative based role whereby you would manage the assessment and processing of infringement reviews of Council decisions. Such reviews will include customer complaints and insurance claims.Key ResponsibilitiesMake administrative infringement review decisions in accordance with Council policies and procedures.Ensure procedural fairness and confidentiality is applied in circumstances.Draft and produce correspondence.Key Criteria:Experience reviewing applications and the supporting evidence to make a decision.Interpret legislation and make technical recommendations.Knowledge of the Local Government Act 1989 and 2020, Infringements Act 2016, Victorian Road Rules, Domestic Animals Act and Council's General Local Laws.Local council experience.To submit your application, please select the 'APPLY' button below.
