Jobs/Responsibilities
As Council's Engagement Officer, you will be responsible for managing the delivery of high quality and cost-effective community engagement strategies.
Responsibilities include:
Ensuring change management impacts to community are understood, communicated and managed appropriately
Developing and implementing initiatives to drive improvements to engagement strategies.
Provide advice and assist with the development of the Community Strategic Plan
Take initiatives to ensure relationships are maintained and Council's reputation is upheld
Promote innovative engagement programs across Council.
Skills/Experience
To be successful in this position you will need:
Relevant qualifications in Communications or similar
Current Driver's Licence
Ability to obtain a satisfactory Criminal Record Check
Experience in a similar role
High level communication skills both verbal and written
Demonstrated ability to work with a diverse range of stakeholders including the public, media, community organisations, local businesses and government departments
