Two-year Fixed term opportunity for a dynamic Internal Communications and Engagement OfficerOpportunity to use your communication and people skills to engage audiences with the strategic objectives of the Faculty of Medicine and Health (FMH) across its health precinctsBase Salary starting at $99,455 + 17% superannuationAbout the opportunity The University of Sydney's Faculty of Medicine and Health is looking for a great communicator and relationship builder to join its supportive and friendly Internal Communications and Engagement team.
The Internal Communications and Engagement Officer supports communications and engagement services in the faculty and its precincts (Northern Sydney, Western Sydney, Central Sydney and Rural), including creating innovative and impactful content for faculty channels, managing stakeholder relationships and designing and implementing creative engagement initiatives for staff, affiliates, partners and students.
Content will include digital newsletters, videos, podcasts, posters, news articles, EDMs, presentations, digital signage and intranet content.
The Faculty of Medicine and Health works with a wide range of partners to deliver on its strategic goals making and shaping the future of health.
The Internal Communications and Engagement Officer will work with partners, e.g.
local health districts, to cross-promote relevant news and events and build strong reciprocal relationships.
Your key responsibilities will be to: Design, execute and measure the success of creative engagement initiatives to support the overall employee communications and engagement plan.Develop and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders in the faculty and its health precincts to source news stories, identify individuals for profiling, design targeted campaigns and promote faculty initiatives.Develop, produce, and manage distribution of key communications and engagement material drawing on precinct relationships to support widespread promotion.Manage production and logistics of targeted engagement events, in keeping with the engagement plan.Use existing and new technologies for communicating with internal audiences including the faculty intranet, EDM systems, SharePoint, Viva Engage, video, newsletters, and other electronic communications.Perform work activities relevant to the role's key accountabilities as directed by the manager.About you Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.Experience in content development, copywriting and proofreading.Demonstrated ability to create communications campaigns for multiple communication channels.Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.Experience managing diverse groups of key stakeholders and the ability to develop/cultivate productive relationships.Experience using Office 365 and EDM systems.Experience in universities, higher education, government or health-related environments.Tertiary qualifications in communications, with some relevant work experience; and/or equivalent combination of relevant experience.Work Rights You must have unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of this employment to apply.
