Fixed Term Contract - Full-Time 76 hours per fortnightMDHS is looking for a dynamic and experienced FFE Lead to join our team.
As the Project's Furniture, Fittings & Equipment (FFE) Lead, you will be responsible for leading and delivering the organisation's operating and capital equipment requirements in line with clinical demand and the hospital's new $115 million redevelopment project requirements.
Working closely with the executive leadership team and department managers, you will manage and coordinate all FFE project requirements from clinical and product acceptance perspective to support the organisation in providing excellence in patient-centered care.
The ideal candidate for this role will have a proven track record in managing and delivering complex projects within a healthcare environment as well as strong leadership skills and experience in procurement/sales in a health context, preferably with FFE project delivery.

Key Responsibilities Actively engage with Victorian Health Building Authority (VHBA), Executive, Management and the appointed builder, to build effective relationships, to be able to deliver to their needs.Lead and manage the provision of FFE items to enable budget planning and prioritisation through the audit of existing equipment and systems, the analysis of architectural drawings for spatial requirements, review of best practice processes and effective ongoing FFE maintenance support arrangements.Coordinate FFE user groups meetings in line with organisational requirements and the hospital redevelopment timelines.Prepare FFE specification documents for equipment ensuring detailed engagement with relevant stakeholders.Support the purchase of FFE items in accordance with the MDHS and VHBA procurement strategy.Coordinate FFE delivery schedules to ensure adequate storage of items before installation, systems testing/commissioning and staff education and training.Support the development and enhancement of asset management policies and procedures in line with the Asset Management Accountability Framework.Assist in the identification and implementation of a new Asset Management Information System.Prepare relevant project reports in line with VHBA and MDHS standards.Attendance at Project Working Group meetings as required.Key Selection Criteria Essential Tertiary qualification in procurement, business, construction or relevant discipline.3-5 years in healthcare industry.Technical/Professional Knowledge and skills Extensive recent experience leading FF&E coordination for a major project in a complex and stakeholder centric environment.High level knowledge of the statutory and clinical safety requirements in relation to FFE in acute admitted/non-admitted healthcare settings.Demonstrated well-developed interpersonal, written and oral communication skills including the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders and foster good relations, obtain feedback and ensure on-going co-operation.Highly developed project management skills, including the ability to create a project timeline and maintain those deadlines throughout the project lifecycle.Strong organisational skills, including the ability to effectively manage, coordinate and prioritise tasks.Exceptional customer service capabilities with the ability to troubleshoot methodically and escalate incidents when appropriate to meet business objectives.Desirable Experience in the procurement of healthcare resources, stock & medical equipment.Applications are to include: ResumeCovering Letter addressing the Key Selection Criteria, available in the Position Description on the position advertisement.MDHS is an equal opportunity employer.
