We have an exciting full time fixed term opportunity for an intern pharmacist wanting to commence their pharmacy career within a Hospital and Clinical setting.
The successful applicant will work closely with our passionate and professional pharmacists and dispensary technicians for the fixed term period.
The Friendly Society Pharmacy provides customers, in-patients and the people of Bundaberg with high quality healthcare advice and an extensive range of pharmaceutical, natural health, fragrance, health aid, cosmetic and giftware products.
The Position The successful applicant will gain valuable on-the-job experience in the area of Community Pharmacy, and additionally, they will provide a range of pharmacy services to the inpatients and outpatients of the hospital through our Hospital Pharmacy.
The Intern Pharmacist will assist the Friendly Society Private Hospital to be the hospital of choice for friendly quality healthcare and will perform the following duties under the supervision of a registered pharmacist: Dispense prescriptions accurately and efficiently under time constraints while prioritising work according to current workload Ensure an ethical approach to sales by providing advice to benefit the long-term prospect of the customers' needs Further product knowledge on a consistent basis to ensure the delivery of correct and appropriate advice Function with efficiency and accuracy with stock management, including setting up and managing tasks required to be completed by dispensary Hours of work will be Monday to Friday with the occasional Saturday morning.
