We empower our people to contribute to next-generation infrastructure while developing your skills to reach your full potential.Who we're looking for:As part of the finance team as a Tax Accountant, you'll collaborate closely with the Senior Tax Accountant and Tax Manager to deliver comprehensive tax and accounting services for the business.
In this role, you'll play a key part in our month-end and year-end tax processes, taking on responsibilities that include: Preparing and lodging income tax, FBT, and GST returnsPreparing and submitting tax journalsAssisting with general ledger reconciliations of tax accountsReviewing transactional data for tax implicationsAssisting with providing taxation advice to the wider businessAssisting with providing in-house trainingContributing to improving tax processesOther ad hoc tasks as required.The successful candidate will be a self-starter with:Degree in Commerce or Business with a major in Accounting and/or TaxObtained or is committed to obtaining a CA / CPA qualificationPrevious experience in FBT, GST, and income tax is desirableAttention to detailEffective verbal and written communication skillsHigh work standard and work ethicConfident with vagueness and uncertainty, but is committed to continuous improvementAbility to establish and maintain relationships across different functions in the businessMaintain the BMD cultureIn return, we offer a rewarding long-term career, opportunities to develop, and a culture that values your contribution.
