Intermediate/Senior Tax Accountant

Rushton & Keep Accounting is currently looking for a full-time (or part-time) Intermediate/Senior Tax Accountant to join us at our Werribee office as we enter an exciting period of growth.
We are looking for a Business Services Intermediate/Senior Tax Accountant with 4+ years of Public Practice experience who can hit the ground running and immediately start working closely with a large variety of clients - from individuals through to thriving business clients across many sectors.
As a Senior member of the Rushton & Keep Accounting team, your responsibilities will include:
- Processing jobs from inception to completion.
- Peer reviewing the work of other team members
- Preparation of income tax returns, financial statements, statutory reporting and compliance
- Preparing and reviewing business activity statements and instalment activity statements
- Preparing and submitting various applications for grants and registrations on behalf of our clients
- Preparation of supporting workpapers to a high standard
- Lead and deliver special client projects
- Providing support and on-the-job learning to graduate accountants and other colleagues
You will be encouraged to expand your professional knowledge through internal and external training sessions in order to meet the CPD requirements of your CPA or CA membership.
To be successful in this role you will:
- Have completed a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) degree
- Have completed or near completion either a CPA or CA qualification
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in Public Practice Accounting
- Enjoy working with others and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Advanced computer skills
- Experience with accounting software including XERO, MYOB and Quickbooks
- Experience with Handisoft will be highly regarded
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Work independently and part of a team
- A strong work ethic and solution orientated
