The ideal candidate would have the following attributes: - Be degree qualified in accountingBe either CPA/CA/IPA qualified or working towards these qualifications;Have at least 3 plus years' experience in a public practice in Australia;Possess excellent writing and communication skills in EnglishBe a professional that takes pride in their work, takes accountability and manages "red flags" accordinglyAbility to work with minimal supervision with a proven ability to manage your own workflows and lodgments;Be a fast-learner who can work on a variety of accounting software systems including (Xero and Handisoft)You will liaise with the Principal that will provide ongoing mentoring, training and support in your role.
The job responsibilities will include: - Preparation of IAS/BAS returns;Preparation of income tax returns and financial accounts for HNW clients, companies, trusts, and sole-traders;Liaising with third party stakeholders and agencies such as ATO and ASICProviding assistance in researching a range of taxation matters such as income tax, capital gains tax, GST, Division 7A, Intercompany loan agreements.Setting up and migrating clients on Xero.Tax Planning & dealing with key tax issues.
