The successful candidate will be part of a rapidly expanding organisation which caters to small to large, local and international businesses. The duties include completing the annual statutory financial statements, tax returns, BAS and company statements etc for complex private and business clients. This role will suit someone who has completed or near completion of their CA/CPA who is interested in tax and looking for their next challenge.
To be successful in this exciting role, you will:
Have at least 3-6 years local experience in an Accountancy firm within the business services division.Have experience in the preparation of financial accounts and income tax returns for companies, trusts, individuals.Have experience with the preparation of quarterly and monthly activity statements.Be used to the preparation of detailed and accurate working papers for all work undertaken.Have used various accounting software packages specifically XeroHave experience liaising with the ATO, SRO, clients and other professionals when required.Be happy to take on other ad hoc duties as required.Have an interest in tax and want exposure to complex tax issues and its interaction with compliance workHave excellent verbal and written communication skillsHave the ability to self-review and perform quality control on work papersBe a team player, hardworking and professional The successful applicant must have the required experience and good communications skills and be able to work unsupervised, which will require the ability to decipher and analyse information independently.
