Due to significant growth, Highton & Lorne Accounting Group is seeking a motivated Intermediate Accountant with 2-5years' experience to join our team.

With expertise in dealing with small business, smsf's and individual taxation and advice, the firm is now looking for an Intermediate Accountant to join the team full-time.

You will also have exposure to a diverse range of clients and their tax and accounting needs to further develop your career and experience.
About the Role
As an Intermediate Accountant you will work closely with partners and team members of the firm to provide business, accounting and taxation services. Based on your level of experience, your dutieswill include, but are not limited to, the following responsibilities:
Preparation of financial statements and income tax returns for all entity types including trusts, companies, partnerships, individuals and smsf's Preparation of activity statements Preparation of other statutory returns including Fringe Benefits tax, Payroll Tax and Land Tax Liaising with the Tax Office and other government agencies Assist with tax planning and advisory projects Working with accounting software - Xero/Intuit/MYOB/Simple Fund 360 Research on various tax issues Skills, Capabilities and experience
2-5 years' business services experience in an Australian Public Practice Accounting Firm Bachelor Degree in Commerce or equivalent Moving towards or have completed theCA/CPA program Have excellent oral and written communication skills Strong commitment to quality service and client relationships Good problem solving skills and embrace modern technologies Be a highly motivated and proactive self-starter Be eager to learn, grow and further your career The Benefits
