Our client, a leading firm known for their commitment to employee well-being and active contributions to the community worldwide, is seeking a dedicated Intermediate Accountant to join their well-established Business Services team in their Brisbane CBD office.
About the Role: Preparing financial statements and income tax returns for sole traders, partnerships, companies, trusts, and SMSFs Handling BAS, IAS, FBT, and individual tax return preparations Assisting in the preparation of advice on tax and business issues Managing compliance requirements for a broad range of clients Identifying and resolving basic issues in client financial statements Skills and Experience: 1.5 years - 3 years of recent Australian business services accounting experience within a professional services/public accounting firm A relevant accounting degree (BCom or BBus) Progress towards a CA/CPA qualification Proficiency in Xero and MYOB Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to multitask Excellent written and oral communication skills across all levels of an organization Basic understanding of tax laws, state taxes, and duties relating to resident taxpayers Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word Important Information: Only candidates with recent Australian business services accounting experience in a professional services/public accounting firm will be considered.
