Established in 2006 and growing at over 30% per annum, we are a certified Great Place to Work for 3 years running, winner of the Australian Business Awards for Employer of Choice in 2022 and a certified B Corp company who operate with one clear mission: "to help our people, Private Business Owners and the communities we work in be better off."Why join us at Kelly+Partners?In addition to working in an organisation that is committed to offering the best services and opportunities to both our clients and our team, you will also have access to the following benefits:Real and attainable career progressionIn depth and regular mentoring by your Client DirectorGenuine commitment and access to bespoke learning and professional developmentFully renovated offices full of natural lightOpportunity to have equity ownership in a growing businessCollaborative, dynamic and engaging cultureFlexible work hours and work from home arrangements availableEmployee Assistance ProgramStudy assistanceTeam and social eventsFlu vaccinationsThe OpportunityAs a member of our team, you will be a key player in enabling Kelly+Partners' next phase of growth.Key Responsibilities:Deliver excellent customer service and client outcomes.Preparation of management reports, financial statements and tax returns for individual, company, trust, partnership and super fund clients.Exposure to clients operating in a range of industries and life cycles.Preparation of Business Activity Statements (BAS), annual payroll tax reconciliations and Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT) returns.Engage with a team of like-minded accountants and Partners to develop and support your individual growth.Liaise with various statutory authorities on behalf of clients, including the Australian Taxation Office (ATO), Australian Securities and Investment Commission (ASIC) and the State Revenue Office (SRO).Utilise the latest in technology to ensure an efficient and accurate client service delivery.This position is located in our Bendigo office which is proudly operated by Kelly+Partners & MGR Accountants.Selection CriteriaTo ensure your success, in addition to sharing our purpose and values, you will be a team player with professional level communication and interpersonal skills and be driven to find win-win solutions for our clients.Knowledge:Broad understanding of income tax (and allowable measures to reduce tax), family tax benefit, company tax, fundamentals of trust law and superannuation provisions.Business operations, structures and the dynamics of how they interact.Cash versus accruals basis of accounting.Experience:Minimum 2 years' experience working in an accounting practice.Preparation of accurate financial accountsExperience with MYOB AE, Xero, Quickbooks Intuit, Reckon, advanced MS Excel and MS Word software skills preferred, but not essential.Qualifications:Chartered Accountants Australia & New Zealand certified or currently enrolled.
