By providing strategic financial advice, thorough reporting, and strong governance, they play an integral role in helping clients manage and enhance their financial operations.About the RoleWe are working with this firm to source an enthusiastic Intermediate Accountant to join their growing Business Services team in their Brisbane CBD office.Key Responsibilities:Prepare financial statements and income tax returns for various entities, including sole traders, partnerships, companies, trusts, and SMSFs.Prepare FBT returns, BASs, and IASs.Complete individual tax returns.Assist with developing tax and business advisory solutions.Manage compliance obligations for a diverse range of clients and industries.Liaise with the ATO and ASIC as necessary.Compile comprehensive financial, tax, and regulatory reports.Identify and address basic discrepancies in client financial statements.Provide on-the-job support and training for junior staff members.Skills and Competencies:Strong time management and organisational skills with the ability to multi-task.Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, across all levels of the organisation.A foundational understanding of tax laws and state taxes relating to resident taxpayers.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Word.Ability to analyse and verify the accuracy of financial data.Experience with various accounting software, such as IPS, APS, Xero, and MYOB.Qualifications:2-4 years of accounting experience.A completed relevant accounting degree (BCom or BBus).Progressing towards CA/CPA accreditation.Familiarity with computerised accounting systems.Why Join Them?Be part of a dynamic team that values professional growth and provides opportunities to work on diverse and challenging projects.
