Intermediate Accountant – Business ServicesOpportunity for a confident, driven and progressive business services Accountant to join a young, fun and large team in a supportive environment.
MARS are partnering with a high performing mid-tier accounting firm, that's looking to hire an Intermediate Accountant to join their large Business Services division, due to ongoing business growth.
The successful candidate will have experience in a similar role with a hunger and drive to enhance their accounting career in a progressive and supportive environment.

Responsibilities:Assist in preparing financial statements and income tax returns for individuals, companies, trusts, and partnerships.Contribute to monthly and quarterly BAS and IAS preparation and lodgements.Carrying out reconciliations across bank accounts and balance sheets.Support clients with tax returns, tax planning and liaising with the ATO.Collaborate with team members to handle client queries and provide solutions efficiently.Work closely with senior staff to ensure compliance with tax and accounting standards.Build client relationships by delivering high-quality service and identifying opportunities for value-added advice.Involvement with business advisory work including due diligence engagements, valuation engagements and transaction assignments. Requirements: CA/CPA qualified or near completion.2+ years' experience in a business services division in a Mid-Tier or Big 4 firm (essential).Confident and comfortable operating in a fast paced and dynamic environment.Ability to manage your time and projects effectively.Driven and hardworking with an eagerness to develop your accounting career.Strong reporting, problem-solving, and client relationship building skills.Experience with high-net-worth clients and family offices is advantageous.
