The OpportunityDue to recent growth, this is a newly created opportunity to support the team in delivering a full range of accounting and taxation services, business improvement and advisory services to their clients.Key responsibilities:Preparing Income Tax Returns, Business Activity Statements and related workingsAssisting in the annual tax planning review of all business and high income earning clientsAssisting with special consulting projects for clients as required with collaboration of DirectorAssisting with strategic business advice to clientsPreparation of management and financial reportsGeneral ledger maintenance and performing multiple reconciliations for management and financial accounting purposesPreparing statutory financial accounts and relevant work papersAssisting with advisory to and servicing of high net wealth individualsPreparing annual budgeting & cash flow forecasts for clientsBeing proactively business minded.Key Requirements:To be successful in the position you will:have at least 2 years relevant accounting experience and be part way through your CA / CPAdemonstrate a developing business acumen and problem-solving skills combined with a proactive mindset and methodical approach to working efficiently and accuratelybe adept with accounting packages like MYOB, QuickBooks, and Xerodemonstrate outstanding communication skills and the ability to liaise directly with clients - this is essentialdemonstrate a good understanding of GST, FBT and self-managed superannuation funds and some Div7 experience will also be highly regardedabove all, have a great attitude and be motivated to develop your career to the next levelBenefits:Our client prioritises a dynamic culture where career progression is a top priority.
