Job description We are looking for someone who has design flair, is proficient in their documentation and detailing knowledge, and has an interest in managing the full project life cycle. You will be encouraged to liaise with clients, project managers and consultants to deliver creative and innovative design solutions.

Interior Designer: 3+ years of proven experience in commercial designInterest in being guided and supported by our energetic and collaborative teamPro-active with a driven attitude and a strong desire to succeedCan create unique concepts that push the boundaries of designPossess excellent communication skills (written and verbal)Interest in developing a detailed understanding of the project life-cycle processHave great organisational and time management skillsKeen to assist in building and maintaining contact relationships with industry suppliers, partners, and collaboratorsInterest in attending local industry events to represent IA Design within the local market as a workplace design leaderOpen to gaining experience across multiple sectors to develop interesting and diverse projectsCan you tick the below Education and Experience requirements? A bachelor's degree in Interior Design or an accepted alternative qualificationProficient use of Adobe Create Suite, specifically Indesign and PhotoshopA strong use of ACAD and/or RevitA strong use of SketchUp and other rendering programmesA strong knowledge of the requirements of BCA/NCC, Australian Standards and Local Government/Certification bodiesExperience in technical documentation and construction/ joinery detailingA developing ability to manage multiple projects across different sectorsDeveloping experience in leading, coordinating and contributing to a multi-disciplinary team both internally and externallyDemonstrated ability to manage budgets and timeframes with a quality outputKey Responsibilities Opportunity to experience all phases of the project from initial client engagement and briefing, through to construction, handover, and final DLPParticipate/assist with undertaking complete project briefings with the client/representative, assist with the return brief development.Take a lead role on smaller to medium projectsHelp mentor and train Graduate DesignersAttend and complete site auditsAssist with the development of schematic / space planning and associated documentationCreate visual presentation materialDeliver documentation packages on small, medium and large scale projectsAssist with contract/subcontractor tender pricing processesCoordinate sub consultants and their deliverablesLead/Assist with design PCG meetings, and associated documentation/reportingCoordinate internal reviews of project work by Design leadershipWhat it's like to work for IA… IA promotes an inclusive and flexible work environment with opportunities for national collaboration across our studios.
